One of the most common questions our care team receives is: "Does Medicare pay for home healthcare?" The answer, for most eligible patients, is yes — and often more comprehensively than people expect.
Who Qualifies?
- Enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Part B
- Physician certifies need for skilled services (nursing, PT, ST, OT)
- You are homebound — leaving home requires considerable effort
- The home health agency is Medicare-certified (Associates Home Health is)
What Does Medicare Cover?
- Skilled nursing care (part-time or intermittent)
- Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology
- Medical social work services
- Home health aide services — when combined with skilled care
- Certain medical supplies used in the home
Cost to you: $0 when provided by a Medicare-certified agency.
What Medicare Does NOT Cover
- 24-hour-a-day care at home
- Meals delivered to your home
- Personal care when skilled care is not also needed
Associates Home Health handles all coordination — verifying eligibility, obtaining physician orders, and managing all billing directly with Medicare. Call (210) 541-8707 or use our free insurance verification form.
